Hi everyone. I am really sorry once again for missing a few days. So today I have a review of the book Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher.
A book which takes you into states of confusion, happiness and guilt as the character experiences them is often hard to find. I truly believe that this is one of the very few books I can call engaging in that context. It is a series of intimate letters from the vulnerable yet phlegmatic teenager who calls herself Zoe. She writes in an unadulterated fashion to a prisoner on Death Row. She writes about the ways she can relate to him, and as she tells her story, you can see in subtle ways how she comes to rely on these letters and the relationship she develops with this prisoner she has never met. How does she relate to him, you ask? She murdered someone she was meant to love too.
Read as Pitcher captures the young spirit in all of its full-hearted, intense glory and lets you experience the raw emotions of this girl. This novel is unique on a multitude of levels and I absolutely love it!
