Hi! I'm Teenbookreviewer.
I created this blog because I had wanted to be a journalist and I loved reading. It seemed like a perfect idea at the time. However, the blog became about much more than just that. It became about inspiring others, it became about sharing my ideas and opinions but mostly it became about you. I truly hope that you enjoy the blog, and that you learn from it. I hope, too, that the blog inspires you.
A lot of you here know about my decision to remain anonymous. Since the day I kept the blog I knew I wanted to sustain my anonymity until the right moment. Sorry, this is not that moment. It'll come, I promise. In the meantime, I wanted to say a bit about why I have chosen anonymity.
Firstly, of course, there are the obvious reasons about internet safety. Both my family and I decided it would be best for me if I was anonymous for my own safety until I'm older. The internet is a very dangerous place, not to be underestimated.
Secondly, I think it is good to be anonymous because it gives me more credibility as a reviewer. I can be completely unbiased in my reviews because nobody knows who I am. I also think it is important to challenge gender stereotypes; you don't know my gender, but I'll bet a few of you have tried to guess. That's because you're looking for things that you see as 'girly' or 'boyish' or whatever. I hope to make people step back a little bit and think about the stereotypes we place on things.
