Seattle is best known for its welcoming and diverse culture, but Kaden cannot seem to grasp the life it offers. When Megan, Kaden’s best friend, decides it’s time to hit the night life, it turns into a night they will never forget. And, to be honest......
I LOVED IT!
Rhea did a fantastic job of this novel; he expertly took a fantasy plot and added just enough darkness to make the reader squirm and to sate those who prefer dark fantasy. It is a book that I feel to be massively appealing to the Young Adult audience, as cliché as some might think it to be.
The characters were real and genuine, and definitely not black and white. They took some figuring out, which is good for readers who like a little occupation of the mind when reading.
It is a book that encourages the reader to engage with it, rather than the reader waiting for the book to do something. Unlike a few books I could mention... *ahem*.
Anyway, I would recommend this to any reader, no matter how genre-specific. I'm going to award Rhea's brilliantly dark novel:
