Anyway, I really hope you enjoy the review and that you're having a wonderful Easter (if you celebrate it. If not, I hope you're enjoying the spring holidays and the sunshine. Unless it's not sunny where you are in which case…erm…..I don't know. Go stroke a puppy or something. If you're allergic to puppies I really don't know what to say to you)
Let's get on with the review!

My Review
There are certain themes, don't you agree, that are taboo in book culture? Religion, for example, excluding fictitious faiths, is almost never acknowledged in the book world, particularly YA. Or when it is acknowledged it is rarely a main theme.
Bad Faith is interesting in this light because Gillian Philip has not avoided and shunned what others might see as insensitive. It is very applicable to the various religious troubles happening around the world, and as far as I know this book is the furthest an author has taken it. I may be wrong; if I am, let me know in the comments.
What I also find very intriguing about this novel is that the main character, Cassandra, is in no way perfect. In fact, some might say she isn't a good person at all. I found this refreshing, actually.
The plot is dark, but the story drew me in like a magnet. Philip does a fantastic job of adding in a lot of mystery.
The characters are well developed, and particularly Cassandra, her boyfriend Ming and her brother Griff go through a lot of character development as the plots go on and new things are revealed.
The writing is excellent; Philip uses a large amount of description, generally sensory or emotional more than physical description, but it gives the book a fast-paced, dramatic feel.
I know this review is short but there isn't that much to say, for me. I really liked the book and so I'm awarding it:
