Why I Blog

It was recently requested on twitter when I was searching for post ideas that I should write a post about why I blog and what I hope my followers will get from it. So, I have decided to listen to that request. I hope this post will let you all know a little bit more about me as a person.

I have always adored books, ever since the first time I was read to, as a baby. I have always read and books mean a lot to me. Perhaps that's why I prefer actual books to reading on a device!

In 2013, I had longed to become a journalist when I was older. This is a far cry from my current aspirations, but I had my heart set on it. So I thought it might give me a good start if I reviewed books. Perhaps, I thought, I might ask a newspaper if they would publish my reviews! I had felt a deep need to connect with children my age and encourage them to read and show them how much books can mean.

And so my blogging journey began.

I know I am not the best at blogging, but I'm learning. I hope that you will all come on this journey with me and watch the blog evolve. Thank you to everybody who has been with me right from the very start, I hope you have enjoyed the journey so far. In the future I hope to see more people following the blog, and more people truly enjoying what I do. All I want is to bring a little happiness to my followers and to maybe help those of us who are bookish, like me, to find good reads. Thank you!
