Today I don't have any reviews, no spotlights or discussions.
I just want to talk about the important things for me. The things that really matter to me.
And one of those things is blogging.
This journey with the blog has changed so many things both for me and about me. It has nurtured my love of books, but also forced me to organise things so I can read books in time for deadlines and make sure that blog posts don't take up my whole Saturday.
The only reason I wanted to start this blog was to show the world how much I love books and to share that with everyone. To encourage people my age to read and to enjoy books as much as I do.
Perhaps one day I will tell the full story of why I started the blog. But not today. Definitely not today.
Today I'm going to talk about why blogging is important to me.
It allows self-expression, it allows me to share myself with others. It lets me enjoy books in a different way, to think about novels in a different way. That's important.
But it also makes me feel like I'm more than a nerdy teenager who reads too much and puts their hand up too often in class. It makes me feel like there are others out there who care about the things I care about. Those who appreciate me as a reviewer. Impartial judges- my audience. I don't know how small or how large you really are. There may be ten of you, or maybe ten thousand. I have no idea. And in a way, that comforts me. It helps me to feel confident in myself and in my blogging. That no matter how small, there are people who are interested in me and what I do and what I love..
